Getting started

Your first session

Four simple steps to get up and running.

  1. Choose a session

Open Explore sessions. Choose AI Assistant for responses, Support for live words, or Support + AI for both. Compare session types.

  2. Add context

For AI, choose your activity and add notes or documents. Interview sessions can use a resume and job description. Upload PDF, DOCX, or text files up to 8 MB each, or paste your text.

  3. Connect audio

Follow setup for a call on this computer or another device. Support asks whether you’ll speak or read. See audio setup.

  4. Review and start

Choose your AI model when available, then free time or credits. Review the details and start when you’re ready.

Session types

Choose the support that fits your conversation.

Support

Read another person’s words as they speak, or share your own words as text.

  1. Choose your role during setup.
  2. If you’re reading, send the speaker link to the person speaking.
  3. If you’re speaking, share the reader link. Readers can join without an account.
Set up Support

AI Assistant

Rehearse questions and develop responses using your notes and saved context.

  1. Add the background you want AI to use.
  2. Type a question, use automatic detection on this computer, or press Alt + Enter to send the recent conversation.
  3. Read, review, and adapt the response in your own words.
Set up AI Assistant

Support + AI

Keep Support and AI responses beside each other in one session.

  1. Complete your context and audio setup.
  2. Follow the conversation in the transcript panel.
  3. Read responses in the AI panel. Collapse either panel when you need more space.
Set up both

AI options depend on service availability. Shared session links give access to that session; share them only with the people joining you.

Audio setup

Connect the conversation you want Wareyva to hear.

The call is on this computer

Select On this computer during setup. In an AI session, Auto question detection starts on once the call audio is connected.

AI reviews the full request after a short pause in call speech. A question mark is not required. Your microphone adds conversation context and lets the marker follow your reading; it does not trigger automatic answers.

  • Windows app: choose Connect system audio to capture the call directly.
  • Mac app: system audio uses the macOS picker on macOS 15 or later. Allow the requested permissions.
  • Browser: choose the call’s tab and enable Share tab audio. A separate call app needs a source that offers system audio.

The setup screen offers the desktop download for screen-share protection, or a shortcuts reference when you’re already using the app.

The call is on another device

Select On another computer or device, then choose Connect microphone.

  • Allow microphone access when prompted. Keep the other device nearby with its speakers on so the microphone can hear the conversation.
  • The microphone transcribes the conversation. Automatic question detection stays off in this mode.
  • Press Alt + Enter or click Ask AI when you want a response. Review or edit the question if needed.

Mobile browsers: another-device mode is selected automatically. Tap Connect microphone before continuing when microphone transcription is supported. Tap Ask AI to send a question manually.

Session controls

Make the session comfortable to read and use.

Microphone
Start or stop listening with the microphone control or Alt + M when it is available. Stopping the microphone does not end your session or stop the session timer.
Auto scroll: On / Off
Click the top-bar toggle or press Alt + A. The label shows the current state. In a browser, keep the session or reader page focused.
Text size & reading marker
Open the gear settings and use A− / A+ to adjust reading text. The marker follows the words you read aloud when listening is active; on the reader page, use Start marker.
Manual / Auto detect
Open the gear settings or press Alt + Q to switch when automatic detection is available. On this computer, Auto reviews the full request after a short pause in connected call audio; a question mark is not required. On another device, automatic detection stays off; use Alt + Enter or Ask AI to request each response. To ask manually, review or type a question, then press Alt + Enter or click Ask AI. Your microphone can keep listening in Manual.
Support & AI panels
Support stays on the left and AI responses on the right, including in narrow windows. Use each panel’s arrow to collapse or reopen it, and scroll within the panel you want to read.
Support / Code
In Support or Support + AI, choose Code or Read, or press Alt + V. The shortcut reopens a collapsed live panel before switching views. Code view shows text the speaker types.
Copy code & speaker link
Use Alt + C to copy a complete code block from the current completed AI answer. The focused or selected block wins; otherwise, the first complete block is copied. Use Alt + L when a speaker link is available. Both actions also have copy buttons.
End
Use the session’s End button or Alt + E to finish immediately. Hiding the desktop window or navigating away is not a substitute for ending a session.

Desktop app

Window controls, screen sharing, and updates.

Move, resize, and keep it nearby

The floating Wareyva icon shows or hides the window and can be dragged to reposition it. Use the single four-arrow handle at the bottom-right to grow or shrink the app.

On Windows, hold Ctrl and move the mouse from anywhere to move Wareyva. Hold Ctrl + Shift to highlight the orange resize handle. Move right or down to expand from the bottom-right corner, or left or up to shrink. Release the keys to finish. The native cursor stays in place during these gestures.

Adjust your view

Open View in the desktop menu to keep Wareyva on top, change session transparency, reset its size, or change screen-sharing protection. Use the menu button to open the desktop menu.

On Windows, use the cursor toggle in the app header or Alt + P to turn it on or off. It starts Off and remembers your choice. Click ? beside it for help. When On, hold Shift and move to use Wareyva’s cursor; keep Shift held while clicking or scrolling. Release Shift to return to your normal mouse, or press Esc to release it. Alt + N still goes to the next AI answer.

Screen-sharing apps can capture windows and cursors differently. Check the actual shared view with your setup; protection does not guarantee identical results in every app.

Install or update the app

Download the installer for your operating system below and sign in. On Windows, reopen Wareyva to check for updates, or use Help → Update status. Installation waits until an active session ends. Check your installed version under Help.

For Mac, download and install the current Mac version. If a download or installer is flagged, verify its source and the exact warning before proceeding; do not disable your device’s security protection.

Keyboard shortcuts

Quick actions for Windows, Mac, and your browser.

Mouse hover, clicks, scrolling and dragging can show shortcut keys at the bottom-left. Controls without a shortcut show nothing. Keyboard navigation, typing and gestures with held modifier keys keep this hint hidden.

Time & credits

Understand your time before starting a session.

Free or credits

The setup screen shows the free time available for each new session. Choose free time to leave your credit balance untouched, or use credits for a longer session.

Credit sessions charge at the start of each 30-minute block. Watch the session timer and use End when you finish. Muting, hiding the window, or reading silently does not pause elapsed session time.

Troubleshooting

Find a quick answer and get back to your session.

I don’t see any words or the microphone won’t connect

Check microphone permissions in your browser or operating system, confirm the intended input device is selected, then connect the audio again. Say a short sentence and look for a transcript. If permission is allowed but nothing appears, check your internet connection and any speech-service error shown on screen.

I can hear the call, but Wareyva can’t

For a call on this computer, reconnect call audio and check that the shared source includes audio. Sharing a picture of a window alone may not include its sound. For a call on another device, use that device’s speakers and keep it near this computer’s microphone. Go back to Audio setup to check the right path.

AI missed a question or gave an unhelpful response

Check that the selected audio source is connected and words appear in the Support panel. On this computer: AI reviews the full request after a short pause in connected call audio. A question mark is not required; your microphone provides context and the reading marker. On another device: Automatic question detection stays off. Review or type the question, then press Alt + Enter or click Ask AI when you want a response. Add clear context and relevant documents during setup. Review AI suggestions for accuracy before using them.

How do I send a coding question from screenshots?

Start AI Assistant or Support + AI, then click the screenshot button on the right of the question box or press Alt + S. In a supported browser, choose the tab, window or screen to capture. The desktop app captures in the background. Review the preview, then scroll the source and capture any other parts of the question and code. Up to 12 screenshots (12 MB combined) stay in the question box until you send or remove them. Capture only content you want to send from that monitor.

Type any extra request, then choose Ask AI or press Alt + Enter. Wareyva sends all attached screenshots together to your selected AI provider. Coding solutions start with complete code, highlight changed lines when fixing supplied code, and explain the changes below. The latest question and answer appear on their own. Use the answer arrows or Alt + B and Alt + N to browse earlier answers. On this computer, automatic spoken-question detection continues when enabled and call audio is connected; AI reviews the full request after a short pause, without requiring ?. On another device, automatic detection stays off and each response requires Alt + Enter or Ask AI. If essential text is unreadable, capture it again. Browser sharing ends after each screenshot; your call audio and microphone stay connected. Screen-recording permission may be needed on Mac.

The reading marker or auto scroll isn’t following me

Check listening is active, or use Start marker on the reader page, then read the displayed words aloud. Turn Auto scroll on in the top bar. If the shortcut does nothing in a browser, click the page first. Avoid speaking over the other person so your microphone can hear the words clearly.

The desktop window disappeared or its size is wrong

Use the floating icon or tray icon to show the running app. On Windows, pressing and releasing Ctrl + Alt also toggles it. If the app has quit, launch Wareyva again. Use View → Reset window size to restore its size.

The cursor is parked or a shortcut isn’t responding

On Windows, press Esc to release the local cursor, or move it outside Wareyva. Release all modifier keys before trying a window gesture again. Desktop-only shortcuts do not work in the browser. Check your app version under Help; cursor parking requires Windows version 1.0.39 or later.

Can I recover a finished transcript?

Credit sessions include a saved transcript. Open Transcripts & docs, find the session, and choose Open to read it. You can download a PDF or TXT copy from its transcript page. Free sessions do not include a saved transcript.

Spoken words are shown with speaker labels where available; unidentified speech is labelled as such. Ordinary AI suggestions are excluded from the transcript. Read Screen questions and their generated answers are included under the separate Read Screen question and AI answer labels, never as a participant’s words.

Saved transcripts follow the retention period shown in Transcripts & docs and can be deleted from their page at any time. Sessions that ended before transcripts were introduced have none. Audio recordings are not saved.
